Tencent released this trailer back in March 17. Rebirth (Chinese title: 冰湖重生 – “Ice Lake Rebirth”) is a drama starring Li Yun Rui and Huangyang Tian Tian. It is a continuation of Princess Agents so I advise to watch Princess Agents before jumping into this one.
Based on the trailer, the production looks top-notch and fantastic. The color palette—featuring shades of black, gray, and white—sets a dark tone for the plot. The visuals are amazing!
I don’t follow Chinese actors but both leads have great dramas. Actress Huangyang Tian Tian starred in Perfect Match and Li Yun Rui starred in Blossom. Both dramas that I haven’t finished watching but that I will be reviewing soon.
I am impressed at actress Huangyang Tian Tian, she’s only 17 turning 18 next July and she’s already taking main roles. Her actings is really good as far as I have in Perfect Match.
Another cast member is actress Li Meng who was the villain in The Double. I dropped that drama but I have read some good comments on her acting. If she’s the villain here, we are up to some good story for sure.
The drama is currently in post-production. Shooting was completed around April. So might take some time to get a release date.
